It is our pleasure to offer our guests some toys to play with. Although they may not all be available at the same time, we want you to know that we try to have on hand...snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach travel hammocks and other fun things for your enjoyment during your stay with us.
Things to do
There are several Spas within a few miles of our INN. Many guests desire massages, for which we have Spa personel who "make house calls", so you don´t have to go far.
The Jaguar Rescue Center is rather famous. Orphaned and helpless creatures are saved through this organizations efforts. They have a wonderful track record for returning these animals back to nature. You get to experience their recovery. Toucans, Eagles, Owls, Sloths, Monkies etc. Don´t you dare forget to bring your camera.

Wildlife Reserve, Bri Bri waterfall and Chocolate tours
There are two canopy tours available. One tour has 23 platforms. This tour will pick you up in the morning and have you back early afternoon.
There is a canopy tour within a 2 mile drive, hike or bike ride from us...with 11 platforms. The last platform ends at the Caribbean.
The Pacuare River has an incredible White Water Rafting Tour. You will be picked up at our door very early in the morning...after their breakfast, you will have 4 hours on the river...then lunch...then you will be driven back to us. However, they will also take you to San Jose...if you choose. Not a bad deal for about $99 per person.

Canopy Tours (zip line tours)
Beginners and true equestrians are thrilled with the options offered for riding enthusiasts. Both Beachside and Jungle excursions are offered. Prices vary, but thrills remain the same.
Surfing is a major passtime on the Caribbean. Of course, the surf varies...but that´s a good thing. If you have your own board or desire to rent one, we can send you off in the right direction. If you´ve never surfed before...we know some expert instuctors. And, even if you just want to watch...we know where to send you. Just ask.
Horseback riding on the beach
We are located 3 lots away (150 meters) from the Punta Uva Dive Center, and there is another dive center in Puerto Viejo just 7 miles away. You will be offered several diving destinations, depending upon the conditions. Enjoy!!!
Yes! There are kayak tours available...yet kayak rentals, with all the gear, are available right on our beach. You decide. Several tours from "in town" take tourists to the Punta Uva River that is a "stone´s throw away" from our property.
Punta Uva...means Grape Point. The "punta" juts out into the sea from our beach...so there are two sides to the "punta". About 125 meters offshore...there is a coral reef, where you can enjoy snorkeling.
River/Sea kayak tours
Fishing Trips are also available in several locations. One is just down the block with our Friend, Rafa in a "local" boat.
We have American Friends that offer Fishing Tours out of Puerto Viejo (Nick and Janet). We will gladly call them and have you discuss your desires.
Kayaking Tours are available for several locations. Some tour companies actually do tours on "our" beach and around the point (punta...as in Punta Uva or Grape Point) and up our sleepy Punta Uva River (Rio). They charge about $40-$50. You can rent kayaks for 1/3rd the price.
Yep! Dolphin Watching Trips. Again, we'll call all our "contacts" for your best options.
Bocas del Toro means Mouth of the Bull. It is one of a series of islands just of the coast of Panama. You can get there by boat...by a shuttle service.... or by local bus the border...then a taxi ride to the "water taxi"...then on to Bocas. Touring the islands and their some gorgeous beaches is done soley by boat.

Nightlife (at Puerto Viejo)
Puerto Viejo, which is located 7 miles "up the road" from the TSI has much to offer. There are street vendors in kiosks selling handcrafted jewelry, glass pipes, beach wraps, tee shirts, towels etc. etc. Beach Bars, restaurants, and night clubs pour reggae, calypso, salsa and rock music into the streets. Live bands playing these styles of music can be found mostly on weekends...but a few nights during the week.
In addition to a local cooking class or two that we can turn you on to, in High Season (Dec - April) we occasionally have a local Caribbean chef come to the TSI to teach our guests about Caribbean sauce...dinner is made in front of your eyes. ($25 pp minimum 6 people)
